Several problems in 2D Merangin Dua Block during topographic operation are transportation, rain season, permit problem, many swam and river field and crew problem. Flood in survey area cause some staked out coordinate, marking by bamboo sticks in the field were loss, so it need chaining or resurvey to revise the Trace and Shot Pointsc position marking before drilling and recording crews entering the lines doing their job. Also with clearing and bridging were loss need revised.

Transportasion
Most survey areas have a few access. In Kayuaro area nothing road around line except footpath. Nearest acces passing by car in this area is around 2 km. While in East Pinang area mostly reside in the palm oil plantation of PT.Bina Sains Cemerlang (BSC) where the quality of acces to the location was muddy or even flood in the rains moment. The other acces passing pontoon property of PT.BSC, but often queue up long because too much the vehicles through especially palm oil truck. Potro Block access only through river, so that in some lines needing hike enough far. Besides many wood and fish net local resident croosing the river made boat canot passed the river. Way to overcome this problems is by making camp near lines or making the field camp as according to line.

Swam and rice field predominate most areas potro with variation deepness. Process the measurement will become longer because sentring instrument also more difficult because suffused land condition more flabby. Open area especially rice field area making bridging and clearing difficulty to get the wood. One of the way to overcome this problem is with transported wood of other location which it is of course need more time again.

Flood of Rain Season
From December to March in location area often go down the rain. The location many great rivers are while most areas is swam hence the area become flood. The suffused lines besides complicating the measurement and making clearing and bridging also often eliminate or sweep away stick and bridging which have been made so that in needing the time again to revise it. Arrangement of program or sequen by accomodating the lines condition is effort to overcome this problems besides waiting the floods subsided.

Every new crew commutation requiring some days stand by to wait his substitution to searching labours until process the induction. Topography Departement with HSE Departement insist subcontractor to always improve the facilities and approach to crew.

Permit
The Socialization process sometime not yet come up with owner of lines. The citizen that not yet got this information often stoped field activity. Besides truely is the citizen not want their land doing survey like fear of destroy their crop. This problems also happened in plantation location as in PT. BSC and PT. WPG where some work have time to be pursued because when work reach their location, licensing not yet gone out. Elnusa and PT.Seleraya Public Relation Departement with good coordination solve this problem.

Cutting the bridging across several canal or river
Local people often cut the bridging across several canal or river, this problem always occurred. This problem happen because the instruction of making the bridging across canal or river higher was not obeyed by the subcontractors. Some revisions were always ordered by topography department just to avoid problem with local peoples.

Other problems is payment of used wood for bridging through countryside head. Many residents complain because not yet got the compensation so that they stop drilling or recording activity shall the problem finished.

All of those problems could be solved with a good management and co-ordination between Elnusa A5.58-PT. Seleraya Merangin Dua and all of subcontractors.
